What is the registry key to increase the number of cpu cores used for drawing view updates?
Solution
In Solid Edge Options for Draft, on the General tab there is a checkbox that is enabled by default:
"Enable multi-core drawing view processing"
By default, drawing view updates use two cores. To increase the number of cores you need to add the following registry switch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Siemens\SolidEdge\Version 219\DEBUG
DRAFT_MULTICORE_MAX_NUM DWORD(32bit) [value]
Testing shows the value needs to be equal to the number of physical cores (4 cores -> set value to 4)
