Details

I am using the Hole table (e.g. ISO Metric.xlsx) from a previous version of Solid Edge in Solid Edge 2019.  However when I try to define a threaded hole I get an error message.  Why?

Solution

This is working as designed as described in both the Solid Edge 2019 'What's new' document and in Solid Edge Help:

Hole Pitch value attribute

In preparation for the release of the Solid Edge Cam Pro product, each threaded hole in Solid Edge must have a pitch value.

The Hole Options dialogue now contains a 'Pitch' value field for a Threaded Hole type.

The property text for thread pitch is (%TP).

The expectation is for the customer to update any of their existing templates and preference files to be correct for the new software version.  We have never guaranteed upward compatibility of template and preference files.
