The tooling vendor has provided a STEP model of a turning tool. In this model, the insert is mounted in the holder at a specific rake angle. Can this angle be defined in NX?
Solution
NX does not have a parameter for rake angle in turning tools. NX assumes all tools are mounted with the insert "flat" in the workplane of the turning coordinate system.
