Solid Edge Design Manager cannot be started with free 2D Drafting /Viewer

When starting Design Manager with the free 2D Drafting/Viewer the following message is displayed:

"A valid license could not be obtained. Note that Remote Desktop licensing is not supported . Contact your System administrator to obtain a license." 

This is correct as the Design Manager cannot be used with the free 2D Drafting/Viewer License. 

A maintained 2D Drafting license or any other Solid Edge maintained product license is required.
