Details
Using the feature "Match Edge" will lead to an obviously wrong calculation, depending on the shape settings of a face blend.
When changing the value of "Shape" in feature Face Blend to "Circular" the displayed result will be calculated wrong.
If "Shape" is set to "Tangent Symmetric" the result will be correct.
Solution
The different results is not wrong, it is because the input to the match edge changed that causes different result.
The different result on the match edge are expected.
When Face Blend uses circular shape option the output face result is a blending type of surface which is not of B-Surface face.
If Face Blend changes to Tangent Symmetry shape option then the output is a b-surface face therefore match edge produces a very nice result.
Match Edge is a freeform surfacing tool which mainly works on B-Surface type of faces. For non-bsurface faces the results could be undesirable and user needs to explore the best practice to achieve designing goal.
