NX X Modified existing material is not listed in Available Materials

Using an existing material name (with different material properties) to the sheet_metal_material_table.txt file will cause the material to not be listed in the Available Materials section of the Select Material dialog in Sheet Metal preferences.

Solution

When an existing material name is added (with different material properties) to the sheet_metal_material_table.txt file, a suffix will need to be added to the material name. Then NX can read that line in the text file to populate the Available Materials section of the Select Material dialog.

For example, if 'Aluminum_6061' with an altered thickness of 3mm is added to the sheet_metal_material_table.txt file, add a suffix such as 'Aluminum_6061_3'.
