NX Sheet Metal Unite Alert

Some customers have had the feeling that using Unite on Sheet Metal Body was forbidden in some circumstances related to the following message:


'A tool or target body is not a sheet metal. Convert to sheet metal may be required to support further sheet metal features.'

Solution

This does not mean you can't unite the solid bodies, it is just an alert and does not mean 
you can't do it. So don't Cancel the menu, go ahead with OK.


This may happen when a Solid body and a Sheet metal body are used as linked bodies and United.
