Details
A multi-body parasolid assembly file from Solidworks has a very different structure when opened in Solid Edge - the multi-body parts are collected into a single part. How to resolve this?
Solution
Set the following option in the file "PSXMT.INI", found in the folder \Solid Edge\Preference\Translators\
"Import Multiple Bodies As Single Part file=Off"
