What controls flat plane 3D Printer output? Is this done using a Post Builder post processor created by the customer or is it controlled by a driver supplied by the printer manufacturer?
Solution
Currently, NX connects to the Materialise Build Processors (BP) for 3D Printer output. This BP will take
into account the post processing. The BP needs to be purchased from Materialise either directly or, more typically, from the machine supplier (for example EOS, SLM, Concept Laser, etc.). There are two exceptions to this, though. Siemens PLM sells a solution for the HP multi jet fusion machine which includes the HP BP and TRUMPF sells NX Additive Machining in combination with the TRUMPF BP.
