When using either NX or I-deas, and the user tries to use a license they believe they should have access to, a license error is triggered: Internal Security Error -25.
Solution
This issue can be caused if the company was at one time a Ford supplier, and they have been carrying forward A505 licenses along with NX licenses. The problem occurs when NX has been upgraded such that the vendor daemon version is something greater than 30, and they still have A505 licenses on the same sold-to. Because of the way FlexLM is implemented, it will not allow mixed versioning, so the old A505 licenses are dropped from the available license pool, thus triggering the error.
The real solution is to contact your sales person and migrate the old A505 licenses forward to NX licenses, or break out the A505 into a separate sold-to and serve them from a separate license server.
