Details
In the SEEC admin guide there is the following description of the SEEC_Image_Generate_Asm_3D preference:
"When SEEC_Image_Generate_3D is True and this preference is 1, generate JT files for assembly level geometry. Default is 1."
However when both preferences are set to 1 (True), nothing happens. Should not a JT file be generated of all Solid Edge Assemblies (.asm files)?
Solution
There are two preferences controlling JT generation in SEEC:
SEEC_Image_Generate_3D
SEEC_Image_Generate_Asm_3D
When SEEC_Image_Generate_3D = 1 (True), JT files are created for parts, sheet metal
and legacy weldments when uploaded to Teamcenter.
When SEEC_Image_Generate_Asm_3D=1 (True) JT files are generated for assembly level
geometry like assembly features, frames and weld beads. These JT files are created
as OVR files (JT override).
SEEC will not generate JT files for assembly files.
