Details

Customer is reporting that the license server is down or not responding, client can't connect to the server?

Solution

Try to telnet to the license server over port 28000 if the port was blocked.


Allow three firewall rules in the windows firewall: 

1. tcp port 28000 inbound allow

2. program rule for C:\program files\siemens\plmlicenseserver\lmgrd.exe


3. program rule for c:\program files\siemens\plmlicenseserver\ugslmd.exe


Telnet and NX should now connect properly.
