What Routing Electrical Objects and Characteristics Are Exported to the PLMXML
File?
Solution
Note: Characteristics in Routing are very similar to Modeling's attributes.
By default, all Routing objects and the characteristics assigned to those objects connected to the harness and its path will be exported to PLM XML when attached to a Routing path that terminates at an RCP.
Columns added to the Component Navigator that has data in each cell will be written out to the PLMXML file when exported.
The PLM XML core data itself cannot be altered.
If some or all attributes on a part, instance, or occurrence also need to be exported to PLM XML, use the PlmXmlPostExport plugin to grab the attributes and set them as UserValues on the correct object in the PLM XML file.
Routing has several plug-ins available and four are specific to working with PLMXML data transfer.
