NX How do you change the default filename when you select 'File-> Export-> PDF' in NX?

When selecting 'File-> Export-> PDF' in NX,  I want to be able to select a default filename (and filename format). How can I do this?

Solution

You can change the default filename for the output file when you select  "File-> Export-> PDF" by adjusting your NX Customer Defaults.

Within NX select,  'File-> Utilities-> Customer Defaults'. Within your customer defaults,  navigate to
 
 'Gateway-> Plotting-> Job Name <tab>'
 
Here you can select what the Filename (Jobname) will be used by default. The Job Name consists of three (all optional) parts. Each can be set to be one of the following;
 
 User Name
 Part Name
 Description
 Blank
 
The description is specified in the same window, and can be up to 32-characters. If you just want to get rid of the User Name, then select  "Blank" for 'Entry 1'. See the screen shot below:
