NX Cannot get the correct status of the license server with LMTools

Cannot get the correct status of the license server with LMTools when selecting,  'Server Status-> Perform Status Enquiry'.

The utility is reporting the status of both the Siemens PLM license server and the license server for an unrelated product, (in this case ANSYS), even though the 'Siemens PLM License Server' is the service selected.

Solution

In the LMTools utility-> Service/License File <tab>, select  the checkbox, "LMTools ignores license file path environment variables".
If you query the license server again, it should now report the status of the Siemens PLM License Server, if this is the service selected.
