Why does Create Part In-Place always create Synchronous Parts?

Solution

This happens because this is your default option when starting a Part or Sheet Metal file. Go to Helpers in Solid Edge Options and change "Start Part and Sheet Metal documents using this environment" from Synchronous to Ordered, then Apply. The next part created in-place will be Ordered.
