When importing data into Teamcenter using 'File-->Import Assembly into Teamcenter,' the ItemID and Revision are not modifiable in the Import Assembly into Teamcenter dialog. Once these values are assigned, they are grayed out and cannot be edited or modified.
How can the ItemID and Revision be modified in the import spreadsheet?
Solution
In Teamcenter under 'Edit-->Options', these preferences can be set.
ASSIGNED_ITEM_ID_MODIFIABLE
Allows you to change the ID cell on the Import Assembly into Teamcenter dialog box after the value is assigned. When set to 0 (the default), you cannot modify the value. When set to 1, you can change the value assigned.
ASSIGNED_ITEM_REV_MODIFIABLE
Allows you to change the Revision cell on the Import Assembly into Teamcenter dialog box after the value is assigned. When set to 0 (the default), you cannot modify the value. When set to 1, you can change the revision assigned.
Setting these two Teamcenter preferences to 1, should allow the ItemID and Revision in the 'Import Assembly into Teamcenter' dialog to be modified even after the values have been assigned.
