Details
Why does Shell expansion fail (Ship design), while the mirrored geometry can
be processed.
Following Shell Expansion Error raised:
The limit planes delete the body. Select different planes.
Solution
The Shell Expansion command works for faces on the port side and starboard side. The exception is when you select a face or region of faces that intersects the center-line of the ship. Then, only the port side portion of the faces are flattened.
