When trying to run NX from a client machine, NX will return the message: 
Server not connected, -10004. 



Solution

This can be caused because the Windows firewall is blocking connection. Create two program rules that allow both:


c:\Program Files\Siemens\PlmLicenseServer\LMGRD.EXE 


and 
 
c:\Program Files\Siemens\PlmLicenseServer\UGSLMD.EXE 


through the firewall. Also create an inbound rule for TCP port 28000. This should allow the client machine to connect to the license server and resolve the error.
