Get an error when performing 'Check Interference' if Interfering volume option is set to 'Save as part'. This was observed for some ST9 SEEC users. The error is 'The interfering volume could not be created'.
Solution
Error comes up if Solid Edge is not able to find the part default templates. To correct the issue, please, set the default templates as follows:
'Settings -> Options -> Helpers -> Set Default Templates'. Click on Part (.par). It is probably pointing to the template in your cache. Click on Browse. Navigate to that same location, select it and click OK. This is how you can rewrite it to the registry. Repeat the procedure for the rest of the documents and click OK to dismiss the Default Template dialog.
Other commands which make use of the registry for the default templates are 'Save as Translated' and 'Create part in-place'. You may have issues with those commands as well if Solid Edge does not explicitly know where to find the default templates.
