NX How to export a model of a manufacturing tool

Is it possible to obtain STEP files of the parametric tools used in the NX setup so this geometry can be used in other software, such as Vericut? 

Yes. NX can export parametric tool geometry by using this process:

1. Switch the Operation Navigator to Machine Tool view.
2. Right click a tool.
3. Choose Object; Export Part.
4. Specify a destination filename and folder.

The software will create a normal NX prt file with that tool's parameters used to define real NX geometry.

From this point, one can open up that exported part file and do whatever is required with it, including a STEP file export to get that particular file format.
