Solid Edge How to transfer a coordinate system to the rest of the models.

How can you measure in a subassembly so that the results use the coordinate system of the top level assembly. 

Solution

One method is to in-place activate the subassembly, create a new coordinate 
system using the SHIFT key to access the coordinate system of the top assembly 
and the edges of its components. Then, use the 3D Measure commands, such as 
'Measure' or 'Measure Distance' where you can select the coordinate system to use 
for measurement.
