Solid Edge Technical Publications with third party CAD e.g. SolidWorks

Does Solid Edge Technical Publications support third party CAD such as SolidWorks and 
Inventor?  If so, how should this be used?

Solution

The SolidWorks or Inventor user can download a QuadriSpace plugin that will add the ability to create QuadriSpace files from the third party CAD model.  These plugins can be downloaded from the QuadriSpace website.


We do not support the direct open of third party CAD files into our Solid Edge Technical Publications application. 

However, you could open the third party CAD files directly into native Solid Edge (which gets installed at the same time as Technical Publications) and then send the file to Solid Edge Technical Publications, or save in Solid Edge format to then open in Technical Publications
