Solid Edge How to import a JT file as a single Design Body into Solid Edge Part

When importing a JT file that contains an assembly into Solid Edge Part it may appear that after import the geometry is not one single Body, but consists of a lot of Construction Bodies instead when what was expected was a single Design Body.

Solution

If you need to have a single Design Body later on, then while initially exporting the Body to JT in a single JT-file you need to set the option:

"Include precise geometry = ON"


This will then result in a single Design Body when importing the JT file back into Solid Edge Part.
