If a customer is using cloud licensing with Solid Edge and their software maintenance expires, can the customer still continue to use cloud licensing?
Solution Cloud based licensing will still work once the customer is out of maintenance. However, the customer will not have the cloud functionality and will not be able to move between machines. As soon as a cloud licensing customer is out of maintenance, the next time the customer starts Solid Edge the customer will receive a warning that they are out of maintenance and their Solid Edge license then becomes permanently tied to that machine. Essentially, after maintenance expires the cloud license reverts back to node-locked.
Once maintenance has expired and the cloud license reverts back to node-locked, then any subsequent SE CID changes would require a fee, just like a normal out-of-maintenance node-locked license.
