When developing custom applications with Solid Edge automation, is it possible to redistribute the Solid Edge dll files and what acknowledgement must be provided as part of that distribution?

You are allowed to freely distribute the Solid Edge dll files and you do not have to provide any form of acknowledgement to Siemens when distributing your application containing these dll files.
