Details
In the assembly environment, using Smart Dimension it is not possible to select using a keypoint e.g. midpoint, center point, etc.
Solution
This is currently working as designed. Additionally, it works the same way in both the assembly and the part environments.
When using Smart Dimension, keypoints will not be located on first select. This is the nature of Smart Dimension; it will always look for edges on first select. If the intention is to select a keypoint on first click then the "Distance Between" dimension is the correct command to use.
