How to get Material attribute to map to the UGPART-ATTR form in the Named References of UGMaster dataset?
Solution
Use the following set up steps in NX11:
(1) Customer Defaults > Gateway > Material/Mass > Attributes tab:
Part Material
Attribute Title Alias = Material
(2) In Attr mapping file:
{ Dataset type="UGMASTER"
NX_Material:NR( UGPART-ATTR ).material /master=cad /description=Material
on UGPART-ATTR form
(3) Create a new item in NX with a solid block, assign material to the block
(4) Save in NX
(5) In Teamcenter bring up Named References form on UGMaster dataset.
(6) Highlight the row "UGPART-ATTR" and Open
(7) In the UGPART-ATTR form, the Material field shows the name of material
assigned from step(3).
Note: the key for this to function is to make sure the attribute mapping file
is using the updated syntax that is documented specifically for NX11.
