Standard parts do not work in managed mode as the database connection error occurs. User gets error message "sql database was created on another platform than the one you have selected".
Solution
This most probable cause for this error is that while selecting the database in configuration wizard, the user does not select the correct parts storage type. By default it selected for unmanaged mode whereas the database created is for managed mode.
User should make sure to select the parts storage type as "Teamcenter" which is managed mode and then save the wizard. This should resolve the issue.
