NX X Unexpected Error from external database driver occurs in Progressive Die Wizard (PDW)

Steps to reproduce


When using "Direct unfolding" command in PDW, following message pops up:


"ODBC Excel driver login failed: Unexpected Error from External Database driver (1)"

Solution

1. Toggle off the Progressive Die Wizard customer default "use ODBC on windows 32 bit" and restarting NX removes the error message.


2. Select File -> Utilities --> Customer Defaults --> Gateway -->General --> Spreadsheet -> Toggle on Xess as the default spreadsheet application instead of Excel- OK and restarting NX removes the error message.
