Simcenter 3D Solutions Some groups in my model cannot be displayed.

There is a message in the navigator for one of my groups that says "no displayable entities in group"

and "show only" for the group is not available. What causes this?

This occurs if the group consists entirely of entities that can't be displayed independently.

If the group contains a combination of entities that can be displayed and others that can't,

using "show only" on the group will show just the displayable entities.

For instance, element faces can be grouped but can not be displayed - elements can be displayed but not individual element faces.

In the case of groups that contain only nodes: menu, preferences, model display has an option to display nodes independently. This option needs to be on in order to display a group that contains only nodes.
