Prior to NX11 (with Teamcenter Integration), when exporting to IGES or STEP, the default filename was:
ITEMID_REV.*
For example: test123_A.stp or test123_A.igs
Starting in NX11, the STEP and IGES export is also by default including the version and Part Name in the output file name.
For example: test123_A_1-ABCD.stp or test123_A_1-ABCD.igs
Where is NX pulling the default filename for export? Can the output for the default filename be specified to not include the additional verion and Part Name information?
Solution
The behavior of the default filename output was changed in NX11. From NX11 onwards, the translators by default will use the NX display name as the output filename. Unfortunately, there currently is no way to configure this default output filename.
