"Error connecting: 0x800401F3" when trying to install or run Inspection Execution under Windows 10. 



Solution

Inspection Execution is not currently certified with Windows 10. 


As a workaround, it is possible to login as the actual 'administrator' account of the computer to perform the installation. Using a normal login that is a member of the administrator group is not sufficient. This ensures that the installation routine has proper permissions to make all the required registry modifications and other changes to the computer. The software should then run normally as a standard user. If any further issues are noted, performing those actions again as the 'adminstrator' account will succeed.
