After upgrading from NX 10 to NX 11 the user can no longer access the Weld Assistant commands, and the following error message is displayed:
The Weld Assistant license is not available.
There was an issue in NX 10 where (under particular circumstances) a user could access the Weld Assistant commands without having the required license feature (ugweld). This issue was resolved in the NX 11 release and NX now checks for the Weld Assistant (ugweld) license.
(Note: This is a separate issue from that in the NX 11.0.2 release where the Weld Assistant commands where missing from the User Interface, that was addressed in the NX 11.0.2 MP0 maintenance pack.)
Solution
Any customer wanting to access the Weld Assistant functionality should contact their account manager to acquire the required license.
