Created a Datum plane. On the Datum plane a new sketch was created.
When rotating the Datum plane and thus the sketch around the X-axis works fine
for the full 360°.
When the datum plane is rotated around the z-axis, there is an error when you
use the value 90°/270°. All other values work fine.
Solution
The problem is that the sketch is by default created with a horizontal
reference, and by default the X- or Y-axis is selected. When rotating around
the X-axis, the horizontal reference will always exist in that direction.
When you rotate around the z axis, in the situation of 90° and 270°, the
horizontal reference is perpendicular to the sketch plane, resulting into an
error as the sketch does no longer know what the horizontal reference is.
To overcome this issue, for the sketch, you should not use the horizontal
reference but the Vertical reference option. You can change this when creating
the Sketch, but if it was already created, you can change is by editing the
sketch and select the option "reattach".
