The customer Sold-To / Install number and the WebKey Access Code from the license file are displayed in
the NX syslog file. Is it possible to hide this information from the end user, to prevent them from creating a GTAC WebKey Account?

Solution

The WebKey Access Code can be prevented from being displayed in the NX syslog file, but the Sold-To / Install number cannot. (However, without the WebKey Access Code a WebKey account cannot be created.)

The WebKey Access Code (and the Sold-To / Install number) in the syslog file come from the •'server_id–' feature at the end of the main body of the license file.

The WebKey Access Code is stored in the 'user_info' field. The value of this field can be edited/removed, but the '•user_info=' keyword should not be removed, only the value can be changed.

Note: The Sold-To number is contained within the •'Vendor String'– of the 'server_id' feature, but if this is edited it will invalidate the license file!

Note: The Sold-To and Webkey Access Code information can be removed from the header of the license file, but this does not prevent it from appearing the NX syslog file.
