Weight calculation of an assembly that includes linked bodies are summing the
total of the components and the linked bodies. This is not generating the
correct results. The expected result is only of the components, not the
linked bodies included.
Check your "Set Reference Set" definition in Advanced Weight Options. It is
most likely defaulting to "Entire Part", this can be set to Model and then you
should get the correct weight.
In the Menu -> Analysis -> Advanced mass Properties -> Advanced Weight
Management, Weight Management dialog there is the Definition section. Select
the Set Reference Set. The default is Entire Part. Change this to Model.
Then select OK closing both the dialogs. Calculate the weight again and it
should be what you are expecting.
