Details

Software could not execute due to license errors.  In the log file:  Log file reports "DENIED" when trying to open the software.



Solution

The server is rejecting the license.  It can be because of many reasons.  Anything from not there at all, to information on the license not correct.

In the instance where the license is "Node Locked" to the MAC address of the client (the machine where the software is being run from) needs to be in the license.  If the MAC address is incorrect, for any reason, you will get this error.

How to find the MAC address on your machine:
Go to the machine that is going to be running the software and type:


  1. Open a command prompt window by pressing WinKey + R, then typing "cmd" without quotes.
  2. Type "ipconfig /all" without quotes and press Enter.
The MAC address will show up as the "Physical Address" under the network adaptor.
That address should be the same as the MAC address in the license file just under the header:

SERVER  (NAME OF SERVER)  MAC ADDRESS  PORT # (27006 for example)
