Want to be able to change Item Rev while in NX doing File -> Save As to New
Revision. Currently, having double clicked in the Item Rev field, the auto
assign function populates the field with the next item revision in line. This
value is at this point not possible to modify.
Solution
The ability to change Item Rev while in NX doing File -> Save As to New
Revision is controlled by Teamcenter and Teamcenter behaves the same in this
respect, i.e. if you do File -> Revise on an existing item revision object.
Default behavior is that you cannot change the Item Rev brought forward by
auto assign.
To be able to change the auto assigned Item Rev on the fly while you do Save
As to a new revision (Revise), you need to make the following modification in
TC RAC:
- Edit --> Options
- Press "Search" in the lower part of the menu
- In the "Search by keyword" field enter AS
- Select the parameter ASSIGNED_ITEM_REV_MODIFIABLE from the list
- Click on "Edit" in the middle-lower part of the menu
- Change the Value from 0 to 1
- Click on "Save"
PLEASE NOTE: ASSIGNED_ITEM_REV_MODIFIABLE is a site parameter so you need to
perform the change as a member of the DBA group.
