Since the implementation of Solid Edge ST9 MP5 Standard Parts are generated with the status RELEASED. This is an intentional change in behavior to fulfil Data Management systems requirements.
Solution
However, if you feel you would prefer to revert to the previous behaviour and create your Standard Parts with the status AVAILABLE and the READ-ONLY flag set, there is a registry key to achieve that. The registry key ReadOnlyFlag has been introduced with ST9 MP8 - it is a registry key of type String Value and can be set to False or True.
You create it either under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unigraphics Solutions\Standard Parts - to apply it to all computer users.
or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Standard Parts\Version x - to apply it to the current user only.
The results are the following.
1. ReadOnlyFlag = False or does not exist.
The Standard Part is generated with the status Released and the Read-only attribute is Unchecked.
2. ReadOnlyFlag = True.
The Standard Part is generated with the status Available and the Read-only attribute is Checked.
