NX X No NX Dataset is created when the assembly is saved

When a Save ('File-->Save-->Save') is performed on an assembly that contains JT multi-cad components, no NX dataset is created in the component's ItemRevision.


This happened even though the following Customer Default is set: 
Teamcenter Integration-->General-->Parts without NX Datasets (tab)-->Add NX 
Datasets = On Save

Solution

A 'Save' operation will only save the work part (assembly) and any modified parts. There is no attempt by the 'Save' operation to save the un-modified component files. If there are un-modified JT components, please try a 'File-->Save-->Force Save All'.


If a 'Force Save All' is not wanted on the entire assembly, open the JT multi-cad component directly so it is the work and displayed part. Then perform a 'File-->Save-->Save'.
