Summary

Details

View Dependent Curves can be modified when the view is Expanded. However, when the view is expanded, the rest of the drawing goes away. It may be difficult to edit the curves if the rest of the draiwng is not shown. If these curves were in the view's Sketch instead, they could be edited without expanding the
view. How can view dependent curves be moved from the view into the view's Sketch instead?

Solution

1. In the Part Navigator, highlight the view that contains the view dependent curves. 'MouseButton3-->Active Sketch View'.
2. In the Menu, select 'Insert-->Sketch Curves-->Existing Curves'.
3. Select the necessary curves, or select the 'Select All' icon.
4. OK the Add Curve dialog.
5. Now the curves are moved from the view to the Sketch.
It can be demonstrated that the curves are definitely in the Sketch if the Sketch is turned ON/OFF in the Part Navigator, and the curves also turn ON/OFF.

Also, if the view has a scale setting, moving the curves using this method should keep the curves at the same scale.
