How to export local materials to an xml (*.xml) file.

Solution

  1. In the Menu, select 'Tools-->Materials-->Manage Library Materials'.
    1. Set 'Material List' to 'Local Materials'. 
      1. Highlight the listed local material, 'MouseButton3-->Export Material(s) to a Library'.
        1. Select the 'Browse' folder icon to set the folder and xml file name.
          1. OK the Target Material Library dialog.
            1. OK the Export Material(s) To Library dialog.
              1. Close the Material Library Manager dialog.
