NX X 'Show Grid' is turned ON, but the grid is not displayed

Even though the Grid Preference 'Show Grid' is turned ON, the grid does not display or is missing in the Drafting application.

Solution

1. In NX9 Customer Defaults, expand 'Drafting' and highlight 'General'. 
2. Select the 'Miscellaneous' tab. 
3. There are 3 options for the 'Grid' setting: 

•  Use Drafting Grid 
• š Use Sketch Grid 
• š Use Sheet Zone Grid 

In NX9, the 'Grid' setting could be set to 'Use Sketch Grid' or 'Use Sheet Zone Grid'. 
These settings will only display the grid if a Sketch is active, or to use the grid with sheet zones.


In NX11, this Customer Default is now under 
'Drafting-->General/Setup'-->Workflow (tab)'. In the 'Drawing' group, toggle the Grid Settings to the desired value ('Drafting', 'Sketch', or 'Sheet Zone').
