NX X Shaded display appears faceted

The shaded display of the model when zooming, panning and rotating appears faceted or jagged. 

Solution

If the display is not precise, smooth or appears with a facet or facets, here are some settings to try: 
1. Go to •'Preferences-->Visualization'–. 
     a. Select the '•Faceting'– tab. 
     b. Apply the settings in both groups (Shaded Views, Advanced Visualization Views): 
         Turn ON 'Align Facets along Edges'. 
         Toggle 'Facet Scale' to 'View'. 
         Modify the •Resolution– to be higher. 
     c. Select the •Visual– tab. 
         Line Antialiasing = ON 
         Full Scene Antialiasing = ON 
         Smooth Edges = ON 
2. OK the dialog. 
3. 'MouseButton-->Refresh' in the graphics area to see if the display is better. 
     If not, continue to the below settings. 
4. Go to •'Preferences-->Visualization Performance'–. 
     a. On the •'General Graphics'– tab, look at the following: 
š         Disable Line Antialiasing = OFF 
š         Disable Full Scene Antialiasing = OFF 
š         Render Solids Using Stored Facets = OFF' 
     b. OK the dialog.
