Customer uses one [dbc_udf_ascii.def] and [udf_database.txt] file as a common setting to all users, but usually do you prepare those files for each user and switch them with [Configure Library]?
Or
is it recommended to prepare [dbc_udf_ascii.def] and [udf_database.txt] for each type of UDFs (ex. Bolt type, Nut type, ...) and switch them with [Configure Library]?
Solution
It is up to the user - either way is fine.
* For some companies, they have a global def and txt for all the users across the company. They set the db file to UGII_UDF_IMAN_GLOBAL_DATABASE_FILE.
* For other companies, each department may have their own def/txt for users in that department, in order to control visibility of UDFs and based on the need. The user specific db file is set to UGII_UDF_IMAN_LOCAL_DATABASE_FILE.
