The SMAPINIFile.sac file is not created after Solid Edge Standard Parts installation. The Standard Parts Configuration Wizard and the Administrator tool cannot be started.
Why is the SMAPINIFile.sac not created?
Solution
This is a result of the Standard Parts installation sequence:
1) Install Solid Edge ST10 (release version)
2) Install Solid Edge MP
3) Install Standard Parts Administration
This order is wrong. The Standard Parts Administration does not have its own MP, it is included in Solid Edge MP. If you install the released Standard Parts Administration to ST10 MP3, you will cause problems.
The correct installation sequence is this:
1) Install Solid Edge ST10 (release version)
2) Install Standard Parts
3) Apply the Maintenance pack for ST10
In this customer scenario they do not need to reinstall everything - applying the last maintenance pack again will resolve the problem.
