Summary

Details

Fatal message (below) occurs on axisymmetric model. The geometry is properly

defined, but if we look inside the dat file, there is a node which coordinate

location is negative. It is practically zero, but has a very small negative

value (e.g. -1.0E-12). The problem is axisymmetric analysis doesn–t allow

negative coordinate value at all.

FOR ELEMENT WITH ID = 1000

THE GEOMETRY HAS NOT BEEN DEFINED PROPERLY. THE X (RADIAL)

COORDINATE MUST BE GREATER OR EQUAL TO ZERO.

Solution

Reduce the default accuracy of the Real Data Filter Value (e.g. from 1e-15 to

1e-10).

RMB on solution -> Edit Advanced Solver Options -> Formatting Options -> Bulk

Data -> Activate "Apply Real Data Filter To All Real Values" -> Modify Real

Data Filter Value (e.g. from 1e-15 to 1e-10).
