Occasionally it will be necessary to display a dimension with a foreshortening symbol embedded in the dimension leader.
Solution
To accomplish this, when initially creating a dimension, just before specifying the dimension origin, execute MB3 --> Edit from the popup. This will display boxes at the end of the leaders. Put your cursor over the box and use MB3 --> Add Foreshortening Symbol to add the symbol.
Once a dimension already exists, double-click the dimension to edit it and the boxes will once again be displayed at the leader ends. MB3 on the box and select Add Foreshortening Symbol from the popup list.
To adjust the Foreshortening display use Settings --> Line/Arrow --> Foreshortening Symbol fields.
