You should be able to 3D print an optimized shape from a design study directly to a 3D printer. However when I try to print, the preview only shows the original geometry and not the optimized shape. Am I doing something wrong here?
Solution
What you need to do is:
- 'Deselect' the optimized part in Generative Design (study navigator)
- Toggle the resulting Design Body to 'design' in the Feature tree
- Toggle the Original part to 'construction'
A 3D Print preview now will show the optimized part.
